In recent years, the number of universities that have Institutional Research (IR) departments is increasing. But what is IR? When asked about it, there no clear definition or method.
Many people wonder what to do to start an IR department, how to do the understanding and enlightenment at the university, then analyze and make use of gathered information?
Therefore, we invite Mr. Wataru Saito, a staff member of the Tohoku Gakuin University IR Section to hold a lecture. The purpose is to explain about IR and internal quality assurance of education, a long-term plan for the university and other things related, that are based on actual examples from Tohoku Gakuin University.
This lecture aims to be a trigger to consider the construction and operation of an IR organization suitable for each participant’s own university.
