In the three models for providing student services presented by JASSO (Japan Student Services Organization), the first one is “daily student service”, then “systematic student service” could be the second place, and “professional student support” as the third one. “Daily student support” refers to the support that faculty members provide in a natural way in learning instruction and window services. Among these, this workshop’s main target is the first model, but the enhancement of the first model is an important initiative that leads to the functionalization of the second and third model. Particularly, students can consult with faculty members in peace without having too much troubles or distress, and faculty members who have taken consul are also required to functionally connect to specialized institutions as needed.
This workshop will help participants learn how to support students, especially in daily life, by role-playing. Particularly, since most of the consultations from students will be brought in at unexpected times, this workshop could be an opportunity to improve the preparation ability of student supporters.
