Is scoring reports not taking a huge amount of time? Are you handing it back to students with scores? Are the criteria for scoring presentations clear? Can you give a clear answer to your students, if you were asked about your grading and evaluation criterias or methods?
By using what is called a rubric evaluation table that defines the viewpoints and criteria of evaluation without any unclearness, students can self-check their own performance and get a quick feedback. Would you like to experience that try to ask your students use rubric evaluation to evaluate presentations, reports and group works by each other?
In this workshop, you will learn basics skills of creating and using rubric evaluation through rubric creating activities, also some ways of putting it into practical use and introducing it into your own classroom. If you are already using it, please participate in the advanced course (Workshop on using Rubric Evaluation).
