Measures against cults at the university

Date and time
2019.02.23 (Sat) 13:00-14:45
Venue
Hokkaido University Multimedia Education Building, 3rd Floor, Studio type Seminar Room

Cult organizations who hide their real identity to recruit university students are becoming active. Recently, students are not only approached inside university campus, but also SNS solicitation methods are increasing. University students who do not know about cults are invited under the guise of learning things that are useful for job hunting and various skill-up opportunities, and will unknowingly enter the activities of cult organizations.
For that reason, counselors and faculty staff who consult the students at the university are required to learn how to deal with students, knowing the current conditions of these organizations and their recruitment methods. Therefore, at this training, we will learn about the current situation regarding the recently active cult organization and the ways of responding.
We will also refer to the damage situation of the students solicited by Aleph (previously: The Aum Shinrikyo) and call for attention (we scheduled a 90-minute lecture and Q&A Session for 15 minutes).
