A ‘project’ is a time-bound task to create unique products, services, or outcomes. The temporariness of a project means it has a clear beginning and end. Thus, pursuing a master’s or doctoral degree, a goal for graduate students can be viewed as a ‘project’. To earn a degree as a graduate student, many tasks must be accomplished quickly, from earning course credits, presenting at academic conferences to writing a thesis. While it would be ideal if one could carry out these tasks systematically on their own, the lack of experience and the high uncertainty can make anyone feel anxious and unsure of where to start. In this seminar, we will carry out activities such as identifying tasks necessary for degree completion, formulating a project plan, creating a risk management table, and conducting a stakeholder analysis by acquiring the knowledge system and project management processes. The goal is to offer insights on effectively managing tasks within a limited timeframe to reach the goal of degree completion.
