At the university in recent years, there has been an increase in opportunities to work in English to accommodate internationalization, such as the growing number of international students. You may find yourself not only collaborating in English with colleagues from overseas universities but also with coworkers and international students. Simply translating from Japanese to English when writing emails may not always yield the desired response or action from the recipient. Moreover, being able to effectively write emails in English can often lead to time-saving measures by avoiding multiple back-and-forth exchanges and minimizing misunderstandings.

In this workshop, participants will learn template expressions commonly used in English emails for work purposes and experience how to express ideas in Japanese that are easily convertible to English. Additionally, the workshop aims to help participants effectively convey requirements by leveraging the basic format for composing emails in English.

After the seminar, there will be a networking session including a Q&A with the instructor. We encourage you to join us for this opportunity to further enhance your English communication skills and expand your professional network.

※ Please note that photographs will be taken during the session for use in publicity activities and other promotional materials.
※ This seminar is also scheduled to be held in October.
