With the internationalization of Japanese universities and the gradual increase in foreign students and instructors, developing students' intercultural competencies has become increasingly important.

This seminar introduces methods for cultivating global-minded individuals who can engage in mutual understanding with people from various countries through a flexible and open approach, thereby contributing to an inclusive and equitable international campus environment. Participants will become familiar with the concept of intercultural communication, learn how to integrate these skills into classroom activities, and gain insights into supporting students’ development of the knowledge and abilities needed to succeed in an ever-globalizing society. Additionally, we will discuss how intercultural competencies can be applied to resolve issues such as culture shock.    By attending this seminar, participants will acquire practical knowledge to enhance their teaching and contribute to the inclusive internationalization of the campus. Furthermore, participants will simulate situations of intercultural misunderstandings, equipping them with practical strategies for effectively addressing such challenges in the future.

※ Please note that photographs will be taken during the session for use in publicity activities and other promotional materials.
