Assertion refers to "expressing oneself" and is utilized as a communication skill. It involves a way of communicating that respects the other person while clearly expressing what you want to say.
Some participants may have experienced situations such as, "Due to my sense of responsibility or position at work, I end up listening to others' opinions too much, leaving myself exhausted," or "I’m so busy that I can’t afford to keep listening to others’ opinions, as I need to focus on my own work." While everyone strives for smooth communication with those around them, difficulties often arise in day-to-day interactions.
This workshop introduces assertiveness training as a method to value both yourself and others in your interactions. By becoming attuned to your autonomic nervous system, you can experience points for engaging with others in a more positive state. Preparing your mental and physical condition before considering what to say is crucial. By learning to sense changes in your autonomic nervous system, you can better understand yourself and reflect on how you’ve interacted with others up until now.

Please note that the content will be the same as that of the seminar “Care for Yourself and Your Students with Assertive Communication” conducted on March 18, 2025.

Recommended for those who:

・Feel that despite working hard, they often struggle to establish smooth communication with others
・Notice that their communication style has become fixed, such as being unable to express themselves or causing the other person to become unresponsive
・Want to better understand themselves and enhance their communication skills

This program focuses on:

1.Learning assertive communication to build better interpersonal relationships
2.Experiencing fluctuations in your autonomic nervous system and reflecting on what constitutes a comfortable mental and physical state
