The use of rubric-based assessment in evaluations such as presentations, experiments, practical exercises, and reports is increasing. One of the major attractions of rubric-based assessment is the feedback effect it provides by returning the evaluation sheet to students. This can effectively communicate what was done well and what was lacking, which can lead to subsequent behavioral changes in students.

However, some people may face challenges while using rubrics, such as uncertainty about where to assign points due to unclear criteria, or wondering whether to differentiate points for work that fits the same criteria but differs in actual quality. To address these issues, we will hold a workshop session where participants can share their examples of rubric usage and refine their rubrics. This session will review the evaluation criteria and rubric sheets and reconsider the operation methods to enhance the feedback effect.

This workshop is intended for those who are already using rubrics. If you are considering using rubrics in the future, please participate in the rubric creation workshop.

※Please note that photographs will be taken during the session for use in publicity activities and other promotional materials.
