As universities welcome more international students, Japanese higher education is rapidly globalizing. This shift requires a reassessment of traditional teaching methods to accommodate diverse cultural and educational backgrounds. In classrooms, labs, or campus life, everyday interactions are now fraught with complex communication challenges. Thus, mastering intercultural communication is vital for fostering harmonious relationships, avoiding cultural misunderstandings, and enhancing effective collaboration across cultures.

This seminar offers a comprehensive introduction to the core concepts, principles, and practices essential for adeptly navigating communications with individuals from diverse cultures. It emphasizes practical applications in higher education contexts, equipping participants with strategies to facilitate classroom discussions and effectively exchange feedback across cultural boundaries.

Participants will collaboratively explore real-world case studies of intercultural challenges, crafting practical solutions together. Additionally, the seminar provides insights into creating a more inclusive educational environment tailored to each student's unique needs.

※ Please note that photographs will be taken during the session for use in publicity activities and other promotional materials.

※This is an introductory level. We also plan to hold a second-level workshop in December.
