 “Assertion” is defined as "to claim", but it is also used as a communication skill. To put it another way, it's a communication style in which you show respect for the other person while stating your perspective.

 Haven't we all had conversations with students, colleagues, or family members where we wondered, "Why isn't this getting through?" When your actual intentions are not understood by the other person, you may become annoyed or irritated, and you may even wind up with additional work as a result. On the other hand, have you ever experienced a moment where your message somehow landed perfectly? Or maybe you know someone who always seems to effortlessly communicate well with others.

 In this workshop, we will use assertion training to build the skills required to appropriately express one's opinions while valuing oneself and others based on communication mechanisms.

This seminar is for people who;

・Often hesitate to express their thoughts out of concern for others.
・Feel they tend to communicate too directly and struggle to consider others’ feelings.
・Wish to improve their communication skills.
