Organized by: Hokkaido FD/SD Council, Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL)

The Hokkaido FD/SD Council holds the Hokkaido FDSD Forum annually to provide a learning opportunity for discussing and exchanging information on various challenges faced by higher education institutions nationwide. This year's forum will be held in person at Hokkaido University. The program consists mainly of a symposium and breakout sessions, with the symposium being simultaneously streamed as a webinar.

The theme of the symposium is "The Role of University Faculty and Staff in the Age of Generative AI." The development of generative AI has made various services easily accessible. The widespread use of no-code and low-code tools enables significant cost reductions in operational improvements and allows faculty to independently create tools for classroom use, enhancing convenience and creativity. To navigate this era alongside students, it is essential to discuss what is required of university faculty and staff.

Additionally, the breakout sessions will cover diverse themes, welcoming participation from both faculty and administrative staff. We look forward to many participants joining us for this day of shared learning among university staff and faculty.
