In todays’ higher education institutions, campuses have a diverse mix of students and faculty from various cultural backgrounds. Effective communication among colleagues and with students is vital for enhancing the quality of our work in such diverse workplaces.
This workshop focuses on intercultural communication in the workplace, recognizing that "culture" encompasses more than just nationality or language proficiency. By considering factors like age and place of origin, we acknowledge that individuals belong to multiple cultural groups. Through this understanding, we aim to improve communication across different cultures within the workplace and provide tips for creating a more inclusive environment that leverages diversity.
Creating a supportive environment where individuals feel comfortable speaking up and asking questions is essential for embracing diversity in the workplace. Through this workshop, participants will gain insight into your own communication styles and work towards fostering dialogue and collaboration within your workplace, ultimately contributing to the development of a more comprehensive and effective work environment.
After the seminar, there will be a networking session including a Q&A with the instructor. We encourage you to join us for this opportunity to further expand your professional network.
※ Please note that photographs will be taken during the session for use in publicity activities and other promotional materials.
