講演会「Practical use of IR data, and training researchers in charge of IR」

IR(Institutional Research)機能を重視する大学は増え続けていて，データの取得から活用方法に関する議論のみならず，IRを担当する専門家の育成が課題として取り上げられるようになっています。膨大なデータを有意義な情報へと翻訳し，大学における様々な意思決定場面でどのように活用していくか，重要課題として取り組まれている大学は多いのではないでしょうか。
そこで，先進的なアメリカの事例から学ぶためにニューヨーク市立大学ラガーディアコミュニティカレッジでIRの上級高等教育研究員を務め，近年はアメリカのAssociation for Institutional Researchにおいて委員なども担っているErez Lencher氏をお迎えした講演会を開催いたします。
IRを導入し始めたばかりの大学から専門家の育成に力を入れている大学の方まで，IRに興味関心のある方はどうぞご参加ください。
※本講演会は北海道大学総合IR室との共催になります。

Practical use of IR data, and training researchers in charge of IR
As the number of universities that emphasize the role of IR (Institutional Research) continues to increase, many things are being taken up as subject — not only the discussion on how to utilize the data, but also how to train university experts in charge of IR. Nowadays, there are many universities that are addressing important issues like how to change a huge amount of data into a meaningful information that can be utilized in various decision-making situations at higher education facilities
Therefore, to learn from the case of United States, we will hold a lecture meeting with Prof. Erez LENCHER. He is a member of the Association for Institutional Research in USA and, in recent years, he also serves as a senior higher education IR researcher in LaGuardia Community College, City University of New York.
