大学教員が授業実践について学ぶ機会は多いとはいえず，過去に受けた授業や同僚の授業などを参考にしながら試行錯誤を重ね続けている教員も少なくありません。一生懸命準備をして授業に臨んでも学生の反応が悪かったり，居眠りをされてしまうと，教員のモチベーションにも影響を及ぼします。
そこで，東北大学の邑本俊亮教授をお招きし，学習者が集中できる授業，理解を促す授業を行うための準備や運営をどのようにすればよいのかについて，認知心理学，教育心理学の観点からお話しいただく講演会を開催します。

Cognitive and psychological aspects of the class preparation and management
University faculty members do not often have many opportunities to practically learn about teaching and must depend on trial and error method, the experience they received when taking classes in the past or by using their co-workers as a reference. Despite putting hard work to prepare the class, some students’ reactions are mixed – some tend to doze off, which also has an impact on the motivation of teachers.
Therefore, Center for Teaching and Learning invited Toshiaki MURAMOTO, a Professor from Tohoku University, to hold a lecture from the viewpoint of cognitive and educational psychology. The subject of the lecture will be how to prepare and manage classes that make students more concentrated and facilitate their understanding.
